About Us
Adventure Cycles was formed in October of 1996 by a group of local cyclists and fitness club owners. The shop began inside of the Fitness Zone with one employee and over time grew and in spring of 2004 moved to its new location.
Mike Bennett joined Adventure as manager in 1998. Mike was a mountain bike racer and was regionally ranked in the top of his expert class. Mike still competes occasionally as a mountain biker and is highly regarded for his bike handling skills. As the Fitness Zone moved and their ownership changed, so did the ownership of Adventure Cycles. The shop was owned by one of the original owners, Jack Haire of Gainesville, GA, who has competed in running and triathlons for over 20 years and Mike Bennett.
In the spring of 2005, Mike Bennett purchased Adventure Cycles as the sole ownership of the store. In the winter of 2008 we moved to our new location at 5900 Spout Springs Rd. Our shop is in between Napoli’s Pizza and China Gaden in the Publix shopping center.
The shop employees are; Mike Bennett – Owner / Mechanic, Todd Abercrombie – Mechanic / Sales and Brandon Boone – Sales
Our mission is to be our customer’s first choice for cycling needs by providing a friendly atmosphere and fast dependable service for repairs.
Adventure Cycles is proud to carry Salsa, Specialized, Scott, Townie, Electra and Redline bicycles. We stock a large variety of kid’s bikes, comfort bikes – entry level adult bikes, mountain and road bicycles. Adventure has a large selection of accessories, parts, tools, and clothing.
